Disability Advice Project

Free representation

Since April 1999, we have represented over 250 people at disability benefit tribunals, with only 20% being unsuccessful. Our caseworkers are therefore very experienced at guiding someone through the appeals process following the rejection of a claim or the loss of a benefit payment. This process may include some or all of the following:
  • Meeting the client and explaining their options;
  • Acquire medical evidence for a review of the case;
  • Request a review;
  • Request an independent tribunal (complete a GL24 form);
  • Acquire medical evidence for the tribunal;
  • Assess the tribunal submission;
  • Write a submission to the tribunal;
  • Pre-tribunal meeting with the client to ensure they are fully informed;
  • Represent the client at the tribunal.
